February marks the beginning of a new Spring semester at ALPA College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, and with it, renewed energy, expanding opportunities, and a growing academic community committed to knowledge, resilience, and global engagement. ALPA College of Liberal Arts & Sciences is proud to welcome back students, faculty, and partners from across Afghanistan and around the world.
This semester reflects ALPA’s continued growth as a transnational academic institution dedicated to Afghan learners and scholars worldwide. Our programs remain rooted in rigorous liberal arts and social sciences education, while expanding in scope, partnerships, and practical pathways for students.
This spring, students will engage with a diverse set of courses across law, politics, society, and global studies. Offerings include Introduction to Political Science, Legal Research and Writing, International Law and Global Politics, Human Rights and AI, and China’s Afghanistan Policy. Courses are taught in English, Dari, and Pashto by leading scholars and practitioners from Afghanistan and abroad, ensuring both academic rigor and contextual relevance.

A defining feature of this semester is the continued expansion of ALPA’s joint and hybrid courses, bringing together students from Afghanistan, the United States, and other countries in shared classrooms. These courses foster meaningful academic exchange, comparative perspectives, and cross-border collaboration, reflecting ALPA’s commitment to inclusive and globally connected education.
In addition to academic coursework, ALPA continues to strengthen its internship programs, providing students with opportunities to gain practical experience in research, policy, education, and civic engagement. These internships are designed to complement classroom learning and support students’ professional development in challenging contexts.
A Community Built on Access and Purpose
As the Spring semester begins, ALPA remains committed to providing affordable, accessible, and high-quality education for Afghan learners, particularly women and those affected by conflict and displacement. Each course, collaboration, and initiative is part of a broader effort to sustain academic life, intellectual freedom, and hope.
We look forward to another semester of learning, dialogue, and growth. To our students, faculty, and partners: welcome to Spring at ALPA.
