ALPA SGA Brings Students Together to Celebrate Eid al-Adha and Arafat

On May 25, the Students Government Association (SGA) of ALPA College, has successfully conducted an event about Eid and Arafat for student’s College, with the aim of celebrating occasions specially Eid Al-Adha and Arafat tradition and cultures, Eid almost here, engaging of students with these programs and familiarity to various Eid traditions in different regions of Afghanistan, after completed the classes students need to a such as program.


This program was full of entertainment, fun, games, sharing smiles and informative we spend a special time with students in various provinces across Afghanistan.

The Eid program consisted of four parts:

  • The event began by playing a video on Eid traditions and how people across Afghanistan celebrate Eid. The video was prepared by Ms. M. Ko., SGA Vice President, who also designed the program’s PowerPoint slides and greeting materials. The welcome remarks were delivered by Ms. Fershta Zaheer Pur, SGA Adviser, who served as the presenter throughout the program from start to finish.

  • SGA was honored to host two special guest speakers from among ALPA College students. Ms. A. Sh. from Mazar-e-Sharif spoke about Eid traditions in northern Afghanistan and shared personal memories of Eid celebrations. Ms. S. Sh. from Wardak Province then discussed Eid customs and cultural practices in the central-southern regions of Afghanistan.

  • The program continued with online games and entertainment. This segment was led by Ms. So. M., SGA Secretary, who guided participants on how to play the games in teams. Students participated actively, and several also shared poems, academic jokes, and short reflections as Eid gifts, offering their thoughts and experiences voluntarily.

  • In the final segment, Ms. Sa. M., SGA President, extended Eid Mubarak greetings to all participants and wished everyone a joyful Eid. She also shared her personal Eid wishes with the group and thanked everyone for attending and engaging so actively in the program.

She was thankful from all participants for attending and participated to all activities actively and gives them chance to share their Eid wishes with us, we received the best Eid wishes and nice comments from them.

In the end of program, we had answer, questions and said about office hours and other SGA program in the near future be waiting for these, and shares communication ways such as SGA mail box and google classroom, stay connected with us if you have any suggestion, question, problem or comments.
