The Student Government Association (SGA) of ALPA College of Art and Sciences successfully organized a Stress Management Workshop for students with the aim of helping them manage stress and maintain better mental well-being during the examination period.

As students approached their exams and faced increasing academic pressure, the workshop was designed to provide useful guidance and practical strategies for managing stress in a healthy and productive way.

The workshop was divided into three main sections. The program began with opening remarks delivered by Ms. M. Kh, Vice President of the Student Government Association, who welcomed participants and emphasized the importance of mental health and stress management for students. She also presented the first section of the workshop, titled “What is Stress?”, where students learned about the concept of stress and its impact on daily life and academic performance.

The second section, “Causes and Effects of Stress,” was presented by Ms. Sa. M. During this session, students were introduced to common causes of stress among young people and explored the emotional, physical, and academic effects that unmanaged stress can create.

The third section, “Ways to Control Stress,” was presented by Ms. F. Za. Poor. In this session, participants learned practical stress management techniques, including relaxation methods, deep breathing exercises, effective time management, and maintaining a healthy lifestyle during exams. She also introduced several helpful books and podcasts related to stress management and mental well-being, encouraging students to continue learning and practicing healthy coping strategies beyond the workshop.

The workshop’s technical coordination and visual presentation support, including slide management and announcement preparation, were handled by Ms. So. M., Secretary of the Student Government Association.

The workshop concluded with a closing session presented by Ms. M. Kh., which included a summary of the program, final remarks, and appreciation for all participants. The event was successfully organized by the SGA team, creating a supportive, interactive, and engaging environment for students, and reflecting ALPA College’s commitment to promoting student well-being and academic success.
