The Student Government Association (SGA) of ALPA College of Art and Science conducted its first welcoming event of the Fall Semester 2026 on August 22, 2026. The event provided students with an opportunity to learn more about the SGA, its goals, team members, previous activities, and upcoming initiatives, while also giving them a chance to actively participate and engage with the SGA team.

The event began with a presentation delivered by M.K, Vice President of SGA, who introduced the SGA, explained its goals and responsibilities, and introduced the team members along with their positions and backgrounds. She also highlighted some of the SGA’s activities from the previous semester and shared information about upcoming events and initiatives. During this part of the session, students expressed interest in seeing a video showcasing the SGA’s activities from the previous semester.

The second part of the event was led by F.Z, SGA Adviser, and included questions and an online game that encouraged students to actively participate and interact with one another. During this section, S. M, President of SGA, introduced the topic of student clubs and guided students through the club registration form, explaining how students could register their own clubs and become involved in student-led activities. Several questions raised by students were also addressed by the SGA team members throughout the session. At the end of the event, the SGA team shared important communication and engagement resources with students, including the SGA contact information, email address, Google Classroom, and office hours links, so that students could stay connected with the SGA and access support and updates.

The event was then officially closed by F.Z, SGA Adviser. Overall, the welcoming event successfully introduced students to the SGA and its plans for the Fall Semester while creating an interactive environment where students could ask questions, participate in activities, and learn about opportunities to become more actively involved in the college community.
